Turek: I'm not ashamed of my harsh humor, it's as black as the soul of a communist

Honorary President of Motorists Filip Turek published an appeal addressed to " journalists, some politicians after the loss and commentators " . In it, he expresses his views on some of his past cases. What he is calling for is not clear from the text. However, he accused the President of the Republic of spreading disinformation along with other politicians and lawyers. A demonstration has been called for Sunday afternoon in support of the President.

🚩 Why it's important: President Petr Pavel has long refused to appoint Turek as Minister of the Environment. This has also sparked a dispute between the head of state and the chairman of the Motorists, Petr Macinka. Turek has also announced that he will sue the president for his reasons for not wanting him in the government.

➡️ What happened: In a challenge posted on social media by Filip Turek on Saturday evening, the honorary president of the Motorists returns to driving fast on the highway, when the speedometer showed a speed of over 200 kilometers per hour. He states that he never denied it, that he apologized and paid fifty thousand crowns to the Accident Victims Fund.

He also tries to explain the case of lending a phone to people in a pub. According to him, it was a parody of the Minister of the Interior at the turn of 2023/2024, when he was not yet a politician.

"Interior Minister Vít Rakušan stupidly made an excuse that he had an encrypted phone intended for children to play with and not for communication in a dosimeter where there are several dead people. I cannot predict the future and respond to a case two years in advance, even the simplest of us could understand that, the funniest thing is how Rakušan himself started spreading this 'excuse' of mine as a real excuse from the end of 2025. The highlight is that this disinformation is being spread by the President of the Republic, or perhaps Mr. Kalousek, constitutional lawyers and others," reads Turek's appeal published on his Facebook profile.

Turek further wrote that he is not ashamed of his harsh humor, saying it is black, like the soul of a communist. "I refuse to accept responsibility for spreading manipulations and forgeries along with 15-year-old humor, which is passed off as attitudes and supplemented by the fantasy of an under-investigated liar and racist, who is the only source and witness of Deník N," Turek said.

He does not comment on his other causes , such as the rise of the right wing, allusions to Nazism and fascism on social media, criticism of women's suffrage, threats against employees of the Saudi Arabian embassy, or comments on the burning of a Romani girl.

🔎 Context: The Turek has previously announced that he will sue the president for his reasons for not wanting him in the government. The chairman of the Motorists, Petr Macinka, also came into conflict with the head of state. He sent text messages to the Castle , which the president described as blackmail.

The association Million Moments for Democracy has therefore called a demonstration on Prague's Old Town Square for Sunday afternoon. It estimates that around thirty to fifty thousand people will come. Over half a million people have signed the association 's appeal.
