Honorary president of the Motorists' Party Filip Turek celebrated his fortieth birthday on Wednesday. He decided to celebrate his life anniversary again this weekend at the luxurious Grandhotel Pupp in Karlovy Vary. The event was attended by veteran car enthusiasts and Turek's political colleagues, such as Petr Macinka and Boris Šťastný. In the afternoon, a magnificent procession of English veteran cars set off through the city in Turek's honor.
The grand celebration was co-organized by the Jaguar Club, where Turek also serves as president. In addition to the chairman of the Motorists Macinka, the celebration and the magnificent ride were also attended by the son of developer Passer, Radim. The new MP for the Motorists Boris Šťastný also attended the evening.
In the morning, billionaire and patron of Motorists Richard Chlad arrived at the hotel , arriving with his wife in a Rolls Royce with the license plate "EKO TEROR".
"This year's Vary will be very special, primarily because our president and founder will be celebrating his 40th birthday," the car club announced in the invitation . It also stated that the hotel would have thirty rooms for guests, and all participants would be required to wear festive attire.
The magnificent drive itself was attended by drivers with English vintage cars, such as Jaguar, Aston Martin and Rolls Royce. The crews left the Pupp Hotel in the afternoon, their destination being Vítkova Hora in Karlovy Vary. In the evening, the invited guests returned to the hotel for the Turk's celebration, where, among other things, they enjoyed a gala dinner, the announcement of the competition for the most prestigious car and a thematic quiz.
The Turk was born on October 15th, and the celebration is traditionally held the following weekend at a hotel in Karlovy Vary.
This year, on his birthday, Turek released a video in which he defended himself against accusations that he had made inappropriate posts on social media in the past. He described the Motorists as a key political force necessary for the formation of a future government and suggested that the attacks against him were motivated by an attempt to weaken the party. The Motorists and the SPD are negotiating with the winner of the parliamentary elections, the ANO movement, about a new government.
Last week, Deník N published an article stating that Turek had repeatedly posted openly racist, sexist, and homophobic statements in the past, as well as numerous allusions to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and fascist dictator Benito Mussolini. Police have already begun investigating Turek's alleged statements on social media as possible crimes of defamation of a nation and race, incitement to hatred, and approval of a crime.
The iRozhlas.cz server subsequently reported that the honorary president of the Motorists threatened an employee of the Saudi Arabian embassy eight years ago. He gave him a picture of a gallows and a large hunting cartridge for his car wiper. This is according to a police investigation at the time.
